Pollen Street Capital continues to consolidate the European wealthtech market by acquiring Etops
Following the transaction announced in Q4 2023 whereby Pollen Street agreed to support the creation of a new consolidator in the European wealth and asset management software market, we are pleased to announce that the shareholders of Etops Group AG (“Etops”) have signed definitive agreements to join the group.
Etops, based near Zug, Switzerland, is an innovative provider of SaaS solutions to approximately 100 clients across the wealth and asset management sectors. Driven by its “etopsOS” platform, which provides a modular suite of data consolidation, portfolio management, CRM and reporting solutions to a range of blue-chip clients, founder/CEO Pius Stucki and his team have led Etops to become a key player in the growing Swiss market.
Pollen Street formed a wealthtech group in December 2023 supporting the combination of four groups; niiio Finance Group AG (“NFG”), fundsaccess AG (“fundsaccess”), MiFID-Recorder GmbH (“MR”), and FundHero SA (“FundHero”), as well as committing significant additional capital to support further acquisitions. Etops represents a large and highly strategic first acquisition for the combined group making it a pan-DACH player offering a broad range of services to a diverse client base across the region. The transaction sees Pius Stucki, the Etops team, and Etops’ other key shareholders making a significant re-investment in the group and becoming core members of the group leadership team.
Closing is expected in the coming weeks.
Commenting on the announcement, Pius Stucki, founder, and CEO of Etops: “The whole Etops team is delighted to join the group of wealth companies backed by Pollen Street and think that together we have a fantastic opportunity to execute on what we believe is a significant opportunity in the DACH market together. We have been impressed by the quality of the team and their businesses and are excited to accelerate rapid growth in an exciting market sector.”
David Dawson, Partner at Pollen Street, said: “We are proud to welcome the Etops team. Pius and his team have built a strong, client-centric business with great products and culture, which we think will be highly additive to our overall wealthtech growth story. We believe this is an excellent first addition to our group, and we are looking forward to continuing to support the business on its strong organic growth path and to pursue further strategic M&A.”
